We had quite the eventful Easter weekend! We started with a trip to the lakehouse to drop off the furniture we cleaned out of the new nursery. We then woke up bright and early Saturday morning for a drive from mom's to San Angelo to see Drew, Shelly, Riley and Kaylin. Riley had a soccer game, so we finally got to see him play. He was such a stud! Their team won 7-0 and Riley scored 3 of those 7 points, yeah I'm a proud aunt, he's the best! =) We even got a chance to see my dad while we were down there, it was great! Stephen and I joked that its normally a wedding or a funeral when this whole crowd gets together, so it was nice to hang for no real reason. We even managed to get a family pic! We went back to Drew and Shelly's for some good BBQ and watched Riley and Kaylin open their Easter baskets from Aunt Lana and Uncle Steve. kaylin looked fabulous in her dress up stuff we gave her. =) So much fun!We headed back to mom's Saturday afternoon and made it back in time to go visit with grandma for a while. She's in the nursing home and some days are better than others. Thankfully, this was a good day! Grandma got to feel my tummy and I really think she understood that we were telling her we were having a baby. =)
Sunday we went to church and lunch with mom and then headed home. Whew! It was a whirlwind, but really nice to see my family!
