Riley's Retreat

Steve, Tiggy, Buddy and I took a weekend trip to our relaxing family lakehouse we call "Riley's Retreat" (family name) last weekend. We always enjoy PK lake. We've made a lot of great memories here. We love this place, and so do our dogs!

Reflecting

We went to the lake last weekend and had some time to reflect on the whirlwind of a year we've had so far. The majority of our reflection was on two people who made a deep impact in our lives, that we can no longer visit or call to say "I love you".

I don't know that there was ever a time that Stephen and I went to the lake that we didn't have Dee grilling something delicious for dinner and g-pa sitting at the table playing solitaire or waiting for one of us to mention Chicken Foot, he was ready to play! It wasn't easy walking in to our lakehouse last weekend without either of them greeting us.

Grandpa and Dee, we love you and miss you all dearly!
