Mota-Vational Quotes

  • "Life isn't about how to survive the storm but how to dance in the rain!"
  • "The happiest people don't always have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have."
  • "Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle... when the sun comes up, you'd better be running."

Stephen's Big 3-0!!

Happy 30th Birthday Stephen! This year was a big one, Stephen is no longer in his 20's. We had a fun celebration with the family. We couldn't celebrate too much with preggers over here but, we still managed to have quite the day! We went to eat at Benihana's with Stephen's parents, Steph, Gene, my mom and one of her friends. It was a fun meal as usual with the exciting chef at the table writing us notes in the rice and showing off his choo-choo train skills with the veggies. It was lot's of fun! After the good food, we headed to our house for cupcakes and lot's of presents! I'll speak for Stephen and say he had a GREAT 30th birthday! ;) He even found ways to make decoration clean up fun! Check out the viedo of my 30 year old singing Amazing Grace after sucking helium! haha Greatness!

SNOW!!!

I'm pretty sure we got record amounts of snow in Dallas recently! I think the final tally was 12 inches! That's big time for Dallas! The first two pics are of the front and backyard before we ran and played in it! The ground was actually covered and we had enough snow for a snowman-we named him Pre 3 since it was the day before Stephen's birthday, snow angels and snowball fights (although Stephen was super nice with the snowballs since I'm preggers)! We had so much fun playing outside in the snow and needless to say, the dogs did too! It was so pretty! Love the winter weather, but I have to say, I'm getting ready for Spring!

Super Bowl

We headed to Steph and Gene's to watch the Super Bowl this year with Stephen's family. They had lot's of delicious food as always and we all had a great time watching the game and cheering for the Saints! Who Dat?!

My Birthday!

I had a wonderful birthday celebration this year! I celebrated with Stephen, my mom, Steph, Gene and the Mota's. We went to dinner at Mattito's (my fave) and then headed home for some yummy cake and lots of great gifts! I am truly blessed and feel so loved! Looking forward to another great year!

Celebrating a Good Friends Achievements

As most of you know, one of my best friends Ashley has her own magazine, The Brides of Oklahoma. She has recently decided to launch in North Texas. After lots of hard work, they had a successful launch of The Brides of North Texas. They celebrated their launch at the Nylo Hotel here in Dallas, so Steve and I got to attend. It was fabulous! They did such a wonderful job planning, it was absolutely beautiful!! Plus, I got a chance to drink virgin cocktails and celebrate with my fellow prego friend! We had lot's of fun and I am super proud of Ashley and her acomplishments!

WE'RE PREGNANT!

I haven't posted in a while because we have BIG news that I was trying to hold in until we were through the first tri-mester! But, we have gotten through the first trimester now and I can say, it's true, WE'RE HAVING A BABY! =)

We couldn't be more excited! We found out December 23rd. Our family knew immediately, and everyone is ecstatic! I am now 12 weeks and 4 days. These are pics from our first 2 sonograms. The first one at 8 weeks was scanned on pink paper, but don't be confused we do not yet know if its boy or girl. The 2nd sono at 12 weeks you can tell that baby has gotten quite a bit bigger. I even threw in a video from our 12 weeks appt that has our little one waving at us! Isn't that the cutest baby you've ever seen?! Okay, so I might be partial, but enjoy!
