Mota-Vational Quotes

  • "Life isn't about how to survive the storm but how to dance in the rain!"
  • "The happiest people don't always have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have."
  • "Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle... when the sun comes up, you'd better be running."

Christmas Weekend

On Christmas Eve we traveled to my moms to meet up with her, Drew, Shelly and the kiddos to celebrate Christmas. We hit the roads pretty early, but still managed to hit some icy roads on the beautiful White Christmas we were blessed with this year. Mom lives near the Brazos River, so the scenery was absolutely beautiful covered in snow! Even with all the snow, Santa managed to make it to the house! Riley and Kaylin must've been super good kiddos this year, because Santa brought them some extra special toys! We had such a great time watching the kids, opening gifts, watching the men cook (well they helped anyway) and spending time with the family. It was great! The day after Christmas we went to the Gaylord to see the ICE exhibit and then headed to the Rockettes for a wonderful finale of this Christmas! We are truly thankful we have such wonderful family to share the holidays with!

Christmas #2- Just Stephen and I

Stephen and I celebrated our Christmas together on Christmas Eve morning. We were traveling to my moms that afternoon and didn't want to have to haul everything, so we had our own special little Christmas together at home with our dogs Buddy and Izzy and our pretty Christmas tree. Stephen and I must have been VERY good this year, because we got some GREAT stuff! We had a lot of fun and another wonderfully blessed Christmas!

Mota Christmas

This year we celebrated 3 different Christmas'. Our first was with Stephen's side of the family a week before Christmas. We went over to Stephen's parents house and joined the whole gang for a wonderful family celebration. We ate lots of delicious food, played games, we all made a special wish (a very cool idea Steph brought to the party), tried out the timer on our camera for some group photos and then changed into our matching PJs for gifts and more photo opps. Izzy even got a little gift. We had a wonderful Christmas with this side of the family, we are truly blessed!
