Weekend of Relaxation and Academy Awards

Stephen and I had a very relaxing weekend with lot's of time at the house and some time outside in the beautiful weather! We did take our little brother Jonathan to see Hotel For Dogs which was a super cute movie and he really had a good time.

Our big event for the weekend was the super fun Academy Award party Stephanie and Gene had last night! The event came with an incredible set up including lot's of delicious food, cute decor and oh yes, a red carpet! These are the best red carpet moments captured last night!

Good Friends!

Last night we met up with a couple of my old co-workers. It was so fun to have some time to catch up with good friends! We tend to get so busy with our day to day life that sometimes we forget to nurture those relationships we truly cherish. It has been one of my goals this year to really reach out and build on some of the great friendships I have and not lose touch with so many of the amazing people who have come in to my life. Thanks for being such great friends!

Happy Birthday Stephen & Happy Valentine's Day!

Stephen and I had a fun filled 4 day weekend to celebrate his birthday and Valentine's Day! We had a great time! Friday was Stephen's 29th birthday. We slept in and went to get Starbucks and relaxed a while there. Then for lunch I packed a picnic and we took the dogs and headed to some hiking trails out by our house. We walked around and enjoyed the beautiful day with each other, the dogs and nature. It was fantastic! Friday afternoon we had the family over to our house for Steve's favorite enchilada dinner, cookie cake and presents. We ended the night with games and lot's of laughter. It was lot's of fun! HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHEN! =)

Saturday was Valentine's Day and we had another wonderful day! We relaxed after having company the night before which was definitely needed. I got some beautiful roses and candy from my sweet hubby, then he took us both for a fun spa day! =) Super fun and ultra relaxing! After that we picked up sushi from our favorite place and took it home for a romantic candle light dinner that ended with delicious chocolate covered strawberries (my favorite) and a good movie. It was the perfect romantic day!

Sunday was a day of rest and catching up around the house. Since Monday was President's Day, we were off yesterday too! =) We went to Rudy's for some delicious breakfast tacos and had a chance to catch a movie in the afternoon. It was a wonderful long weekend!

Weekend of Cooking and Celebrating

Stephen and I had a wonderful weekend! We started the weekend on Friday night with an awesome cooking class at Sur La Table! My dad and Sheri gave us this for a Christmas present and it was so much fun!

The food was delicious and we had an absolute blast! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun date night!

Saturday night we met up with Steph and Gene to celebrate Stephen's birthday. His birthday isn't until this Friday, but we celebrated early with them since they'll be heading to California this week. We went to a place called Mercy and had so much fun dining and chatting the evening away! We ended the night back at our place for more fun and games. Thanks for a wonderful evening guys!

Catching Up With an Old Friend

Last night I was able to meet up with one of my best friends and roommates from college, Ashley. We met up for some Mexican food and great conversation! It was fun having a chance to catch up for a few hours. As always, I wish we lived closer so we could do this more often!

28 is GREAT!

Yesterday was my 28th birthday and I took the day off and celebrated with my family. We had a wonderful day out of the office. I woke up to a house full of decorations from my sweet honey! Then Stephen and I started our day with Starbucks, opened presents, went to the mall, met mom and gma at a movie, met the rest of the family for dinner at Babe's (where I got to do the chicken dance for my b-day) and ended the evening at mom and dad Mota's house for delicious cake, punch and more presents. I have to say I'm spoiled rotten! Everyone made my birthday so special this year. I am so thankful to have so many incredible people in my life that want to celebrate with me! What a great b-day! 28 really is GREAT! YAY! =)

SUPER BOWL XLIII

We decided to have a Super Bowl party this year. We invited several of our neighbors, some friends and of course family. We had such a great time! =)It was so neat to have some time to get to know some of our neighbors better. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by some super neat people! We had lot's of food, fun games and great company. We had 3 TV's set up, one in the family room, one in the game room and one on the patio. The game ended up being pretty exciting too, so that was fun. Overall, I'd say it was a success!
