Happy New Year!

We brought in the New Year this year with a delicious dinner at Texas de Brazil and then picked up Preston and watched the ball drop in our living room! Preston even stayed up for the countdown. We did sparklers in the backyard and just enoyed being together as a family. Looking forward to what this new year has in store for us!

Visiting Family at their Ranch

We took a fun little family road trip after Christmas to see Stephen's aunt, uncle and cousins in Pleasanton, TX. They have some beautiful property that we all walked and got to sit by a campfire, tell old family stories and enjoy some good times as a family. It was a fun but quick trip. Hope to see them again soon!

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!



For years I've dreamt of a white Christmas and this year we actually got one! We got to spend Christmas at home this year and hosted Stephen's family at our house. As we sat at the dinner table Stephen yelled, "It's Snowing" and it was indeed! We got about 6 inches that stuck around for a few days which was fun for us to play in! Preston was thrilled and convinced that Santa had brought the snow. He yelled, "Thank you Santa!!" Too cute. He loved the idea of Santa this year! and was suprisingly really good when he actually met him! We thought he might cry, but he sat up there like a big boy. It was a wonderfully blessed Christmas all around. We even got to sneak in a weekend at my moms beautifully decorated house for some additional celebration. Love the holidays, love spending time with family and love that we are all so incredibly blessed!!

Thanksgiving in Colorado!

This year we had Thanksgiving with my family. We decided to all meet up in Colorado. We went back to Beaver Creek (our new favorite place). We got to have a lot of fun together as a family and it was a nice get away from reality. We did a little skiing, sledding, ice skating, shopping and hanging by the campfire. I think we officially wore Preston out! Good times all around! Love that place and love getting to spend time with the fam!!

Riley Goes to State

So who knew there was a State Championship for flag football?! Well there is and I'm proud to say my awesome nephew Riley (#7) and his flag football team from Christoval made it state this year! Lucky for us it was here in Dallas so we got to go watch them in action. Although they didn't win the whole thing, they played well and made it really far! We are super proud of them!

Steph's Birthday!

We got a chance to celebrate another fun birthday with Stephanie! We also got to spend her birthday with Gene's parents who were in town from California. We all enjoyed our time together and Preston enjoyed opening her gifts! ;) Happy birthday Steph! Here's to another great year!
