Happy Valentine's Day

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day this year! Nana was in town awaiting baby Kelsey's arrival, so we all got to celebrate together! We started the day with heart shaped muffins, strawberries and bananas. Preston received Valentine treats from Mimi/Papa, Aunt Steph and Uncle Gene and on Valentine's Day morning he got treats from both Nana and Mom and Dad. Kelsey even got a Valentine from Nana. I received some beautiful flowers from my honey too. It was a holiday filled with sweet surprises! After we went through all the goodies, Nana, Preston and I decided to make some Valentine's. We had fun painting and coming up with some creative Valentine's for daddy. That afternoon we all went up to Preston's school for his Valentine's party. We all had a good time going through his Valentine's from his little friends and sharing in his celebration. For dinner we ordered yummy Cavalli's and headed home to eat as a family. After a fun filled day we said a little prayer that baby Kelsey would make her appearance soon! We were all getting anxious!

Stephen's Birthday

There was lots of anticipation for Stephen's birthday this year. We weren't sure if he'd be sharing a birthday with miss Kelsey or not. We had the option of inducing on Stephen's birthday, but decided that she would probably want her own special day if given the choice, so we held out. We went to dinner at Mi Cocina with Stephen's family and my mom and sweet Preston. I had contractions all the way there, so we were all convinced she was going to make her appearance that night. Luckily she held off and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner as a family and then headed back to our new house for cake and gifts. It's always fun to celebrate the love of my life! Here's to another great year!!

My Birthday

This year my birthday kind-of snuck up on me! We've been so busy getting the house ready, moving in and preparing for baby I hadn't even really thought about my birthday! Never-the-less, my wonderful husband still outdid himslef planning a fun dinner with his family at Ernesto's, sending me beautiful flowers at work (they've literally smelled up our entire floor, so beautiful), getting some super fun gifts including a wine club memebership (I think I've made myself clear that I am ready for some wine after this baby arrives) and new cowboy boots and somehow finding time to get a cake! He is the BEST! We had a great evening with family and I got spoiled with all kinds of wonderful gifts. Another special evening celebrating another wonderful year! =)

Making Valentine's with My Sweet Boy!

Since Valentine's Day is around the corner and we aren't quite sure when baby Kelsey is going to arrive, I wanted to spend some time making Valentine's with Preston for his class. Preston is really into super heros these days, so we decided to make little lollipops with super hero capes that say, "Have a SUPER Valentine's Day!" Preston had fun cutting the capes out with me and gluing on the super hero logos. We made little Batman and Superman lollipops. It was a good time for the both of us. I love getting to share in these moments with my sweet boy!

Preparing for Kelsey

Well, after a lot of stress and meetings with our builder, we finally closed on our house! I wasn't sure if we were going to be in the house before sweet Kelsey made her arrival, but lucky for us, she held on a bit so we could be fully prepared for her. We got moved in last weekend and were able to get her little nursery set up. I still have to get things put on the walls, but at least she has a room now with furniture! =) Her walls are light grey and we have pink chandalier patterned bedding. I just love how it came together. Thanks Nana for all of the nursery stuff! Our little girl is all set!! Preston even went through his toys and created a box of "baby toys" for baby sister. He was pretty cute about the whole thing! Such a big boy! She is getting bigger too! Our doctor is estimating that she will be the exact same weight as Preston 6lbs 12oz at birth. We will know soon. We have been debating when to schedule our induction. We could induce as early as Feb 13th, but that is Stephen's birthday and we think she will want her own special day. So then we discussed the 14th, but thats Valentine's Day, so not sure she would want that either! We had decided on the 17th, but our doc was booked that day, so we are now officially scheduled for February 18th at 7:30am (unless she decides to come early). We can't wait to meet our little bundle! Only 10 more days and we will be a family of 4! Can't wait!! Here are some pics of our last sonogram and her nursery. We are ready!!

Celebrating 9 Years

It's hard to believe that its been 9 years since I married the man of my dreams! I have to say that these 9 years have truly been a dream come true. I am so incredibly blessed to get to spend this amazing journey we call life with my very best friend! And what a fun journey its been so far! I can't wait to see what the next few years have in store for us! Here is a glipse at the beautiful flowers Stephen sent me at work, he always does such a great job! I am the luckiest girl in the world! Thank you for being my husband Stephen Mota, you make my every dream come true! I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you!

Surprise Shower!

A couple of weeks ago Stephen's parents had us over for dinner. Little did I know, they had a special little shower for sweet Kelsey planned. Stephen's family got together for dinner, had a sweet cake, cute girlie decorations and lot's of fun gifts! It was a special dinner with family to celebrate our sweet baby girl! So nice to be surrounded by so many wonderful people as we get closer to welcoming our baby girl into this world! Feeling truly blessed!

Happy New Year!

We brought in the new year with friends and family. We started the evening with a fun family dinner date with the Zannikos'. We met Z, Nikki and Charlie at Raffain for a deliciously filling dinner and mocktails for us two preggo girls. After dinner we all went over to Steph and Gene's to watch the Aggies win the Chick-fil-a Bowl, Whoop! And to ring in the new year! Preston always has a blast at Aunt Steph and Uncle Gene's, so he ran his little heart out and absolutely loved the horns, hats and other fun accessories Aunt Steph bought for the party. After the fun count down we did a little karaoke, spent some more time with family and then headed home for some much needed sleep! New Year's Day was relaxing! We slept in, spent the beautiful day at the park with Preston and ordered Black Eyed Pea for dinner takeout so we got our good luck for the year! It was a fun New Years!

We are very excited to see what 2014 has in store for us! We know that we will be moving into our new house and welcoming our sweet baby girl this year! Two things that we are very excited about! We should be moving into the house at the end of January (hopefully before our girlie girl arrives)! 2014 will be the year of Kelsey! We've decided to name our baby girl Kelsey Diane Mota. Kelsey is a name that we both really liked. We had a list of baby girl names and Kelsey kept rising to the top. After lots of back and forth, we decided that Kelsey was the name for our precious new addition! Diane is my mothers middle name. We wanted to have a family name as her middle name like we do with Preston (George after Stephen and his dad) and since my momma is so special, we decided to name Kelsey after her. So, we will be thrilled to introduce the world to Kelsey Diane Mota next month!

Christmas #3 at Nana's-SANTA CAME!!

On Christmas Eve we drove to Mineral Wells to share the most wonderful time of the year with my family. We met mom, Drew, Shelly, Riley, Kaylin and Kinley at moms house which was so beautifully decorated for the holidays. She always does so much to make everything special. It makes it feel like Christmas just walking into the house. Preston was ecstatic to see his big cousins and we were all happy to be together to enjoy a few days with family. We all pepared for the big day on Christmas Eve and then that night we went to a candlelight service at the First United Methodist Church. All of the kids were so good! My favorite part of the service was when the minister said, "What child is this born on Christmas Day?" and Preston said, "It's me momma, he's talking about me!" haha cracked me up! He is so much fun! What a joy to be able to celebrate Christmas and its true meaning with our incredible son! On the drive home we told the kids that they had to go to sleep as soon as we got home, because Santa only comes after all the kids are sleeping. Well, Preston didn't waste any time! He fell asleep in the car and was out for the night! Christmas morning is always fun, and this year was no different with 4 kids anxious to see what Santa had brought. Preston waited patiently in the room until everyone and their cameras were ready for the big reveal. Preston ran out to find that Santa had brought him a "fast racecar"! He was pumped, that is all he'd asked for anytime we saw Santa or wrote Santa letters. He also got a cool beanbag chair, a sleeping bag and some other fun toys from Santa. That Santa is pretty cool! The big kids also got go karts to race around from Santa. It was so much fun! Those kids rode all over the place all day long. Pretty cool! Preston also got some pretty cool things from Nana like a new iPad Air, a fire station and some awesome cowboy boots to name a few of the things. Aunt Shelly and Uncle Drew got Preston a bow and arrow and a cool gogo pillow for his new iPad. I think between the 3 Christmases, our boy got everything he wanted and MORE! He is truly blessed! Steve and I also got a bunch of cool gifts and our sweet baby girl even got some neat gifts. Santa brought Kelsey Diane Mota a personalized bean bag chair, a pink rocking horse and lots of sweet little clothes and blankets. Pretty cool to have Santa visit you before you're even born! =) I think she's going to be pretty blessed too! We spent the rest of the day playing with toys, eating, playing games and then Stephen built a fire to roast marshmallows and make some smores. The kids passed out on their new sleeping bags in Nana's living room and we stayed up late with Drew and Shelly by the fire. It was a wonderful couple of days with family. We were barely able to pack all of our goodies in the car for the drive home. What a special Christmas that will definitely go down in the memory books! Thanks Nana for such a fun Christmas at your house!!
