Mota-Vational Quotes

  • "Life isn't about how to survive the storm but how to dance in the rain!"
  • "The happiest people don't always have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have."
  • "Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle... when the sun comes up, you'd better be running."

Preston's Baptism

Last night, Wednesday May 4, 2011 Preston was baptized at the First United Methodist Church in McKinney, TX. It was a small, intimate and casual service in the chapel, exactly what we were looking for! It was nice because it was made special just for our little man. We were able to suggest hymns to sing and spend a little extra time on our little guy! The hymns requested were "In the Garden" by Nana. This was Grandma Riley's favorite hymn. Steve and I requested "Go Tell It on the Mountain" a Christmas song that is Stephen's favorite any time of year! It was a lot of fun. We all also partook in communion which was a special time for our family as well. Preston did great through the service and started to talk quite a bit once he was put in the spotlight! (I think he might get that from his mama ;). He's such a little ham! He did really well though. Once the minister took him, he quieted down and took his blessing. I think everyone there got a little teary eyed. We were so proud of our boy! It was pretty special. Preston was baptised by our Senior Pastor Dr. Tommy Brumett. Some of our witnesses included mommy, daddy, Nana, Grandma and Grandpa Mota and Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Gene. We were so blessed to have them all share in this beautiful service with us.

After the baptism we all went to dinner at Sauce to celebrate. Preston got some beautiful gifts from the family that he will cherish for a lifetime! It was truly a glorious evening!
