Mota-Vational Quotes

  • "Life isn't about how to survive the storm but how to dance in the rain!"
  • "The happiest people don't always have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have."
  • "Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle... when the sun comes up, you'd better be running."

Kelsey Diane Mota's Baptism

On Wednesday December 17th at 6:30pm Kelsey was baptized at the First United Methodist Church in McKinney, TX. It was a small chapel ceremony similar to what we had for Preston's baptism. Nana, Mimi, Papa, Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Gene were all in attendance along with big brother, mommy and daddy. Kelsey wore a gown that my grandmother (Beverly Jean Bedsworth Riley) made for me when I was baptized as a baby. She looked like a little angel wrapped in the blanket that my grandmother also made. It was a sweet service where we sang "In the Garden" a family favorite. She did great during the baptism, no tears, although she did play with the pastors face a bit. Following the service we went to dinner at Mellow Mushroom for some pizza and laughs. Kelsey got a Bible bookmark from her Mimi and Papa that matches her big brothers. She also received her first diamond necklace from her Nana, it was a sweet little cross. Mommy and daddy gave Kelsey her first charm bracelet with a little cross charm. It was a special day! Thankful for my beautiful little angel and I pray she walks in the way of our Lord.
